Projects & Campaigns

  • Adopt-An-MPA

Our commitment to assist the affected fish wardens of Siargao who have been affected by Typhoon Odette through boat repair. The repaired boats are also intended to be used for enforcement patrolling for the first phase of rehabilitation. With Rare Organization, SEA Movement will help raise funds to subsidize the enforcement assets needed per Marine Protected Area.

Be a Siargao Sanctuaries Ecosystems Advancement Mover and join us in rehabilitating and improving the management of our marine protected areas.

  • S.E.A. Patrol Youth Club

Composed of 130+ youth from ages 6 to 21, the youth club was formed by the local kids who participate in the regular beach clean ups in Brgy. Catangnan, General Luna. The club also serves a training ground for the teenagers and young adults members to become future effective leaders who will lead the community in becoming the stewards of the sea thru workshops and eco-centric activities in our LiteraSEA campaign.

  • LiteraSEA

We hold eco-centric activities for our S.E.A. Patrol Youth Club such as read-aloud sessions with carefully selected ocean-themed books in our modest mobile library, drawing, painting, writing, role-playing and interactive workshops to make learning about the environment fun and engaging. From our generous donors, we also have scholarships for some members of our youth club. To date, we have 1 college and 1 high school graduate from the scholarship program. We currently have 1 high school scholar who is the team captain of the S.E.A. Patrol Youth Club.

  • Support-The-Fisherfolks

Provided legal fishing nets to fishermen who were fishing unsustainably and were apprehended by the Coast Guard. The fishing association of Purok 1, General Luna were provided with nets and in return, they pledged to do regular coastal clean up in their area.

  • Adopt-A-Beach

To help in maintaining the cleanliness of the public beach, we hired a beach custodian for the Catangnan Baybay, the play area of our SEA Patrol Youth Club where we also do our regular clean ups. The beach custodian is a local lady who work on a daily basis and in charge of beautifying the area for the public, especially the children, to enjoy. Cleaning the beach also helps prevent trash from entering the ocean.
